Ultraviolet Sanitizer for Hot Tubs and Small Pools (up to 10,000L)

Ultraviolet (UV) light can be used as an alternative sanitizing method to very effectively destroy microorganisms in spa or hot tub water. Up to 99.9% of the microorganisms can be destroyed, as the water passes through the UV unit. This dramatic reduction, in the microbial populations, helps to better maintain clean spa water conditions: reducing the amount of chemical sanitise needed to maintain water quality and to keep the underwater surfaces free of bacteria and slimy deposits (biofilm). Our Ultraviolet Sanitizer is plumbed inline and operates with the filter pump cycle. Water passing through the cell is efficiently sanitized, as the ultraviolet light passes through the microorganism's cell membrane. This UV Sanitizer is capable of killing resistant, pathogenic microorganisms, such as Legionella, Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

Please note that this is not a complete substitute for chemicals. Chemical sanitizers should be used in combination with the Ultraviolet Sanitizer but at much lower levels. The pH, total alkalinity and calcium hardness will still have to be maintained for better bather comfort and to avoid corrosion.
